On the 3rd of April, 2010 a photograph
emerged on a popular website called
"Picture is Unrelated" of him (Vice Admiral
William H. P. Blandy) pictured with his wife
and Rear Admiral Frank Loury. This image
appeared in LIFE MAGAZINE under the
title "U.S. Navy Vice Admiral William H. P.
Blandy, his wife, and Rear Admiral Frank J.
Lowry cut a cake made in the shape of a
mushroom cloud at a reception for Operation
Crossroads, November 6, 1946."
