I have a zen tarot deck which includes this card. Though it looks horrible, it can actually be interpreted in a positive way. When our security is being challenged, like in this card, it is a natural tendency to hold onto whatever we can. The earthquake is necessary, and if we can find a new beginning from the wreckage, then we will be able to be more open to new experiences.

The circle (crown) at the top signifies pleasure, the actual tower signifies 'will'. The destruction of pleasure (and the folks crashing down) thanks to 'will.' Also, the destruction of past circumstances... Tarot is open for interpretation, but Cabalah dictates that the circle is a symbol for pleasure, and the line is a symbol for will.
